New Haven, Conn., May 16, 2023 – Call it the gift of education that keeps on giving. Albertus Magnus College is excited to team up with Barron’s and Dow Jones to offer educational and professional resources to Albertus students and faculty, thanks to the generosity of alumna Rosemarie (Siefert) Dios ’80 and her daughter Gloria. The two Certified Financial Planners from Dios Castar Wealth Management at UBS have gifted Albertus a subscription to the Investing in Education program, which provides full access to leading financial websites Barron’s and MarketWatch, with a goal to spur financial education, learn from investing’s best minds, and foster professional growth.

Investing in Education is much more than complimentary digital subscriptions—it includes exclusive experiential learning opportunities such as live webinars featuring Wall Street's top advisors, access to Q&A sessions with Barron’s editors and financial industry experts, and a tour of Dow Jones Headquarters in New York City. The program also includes a student ambassador program, where  students can share program resources with their peers and promote events across campus. Ambassadors receive priority access to internship listings, networking opportunities and professional references.

“It’s our hope these resources enrich the learning experience, inspire the curiosity of students, and connect them with emerging trends and current events in the financial markets,” said Rosemarie (Siefert) Dios of the two-year subscription that kicked-off on May 1. “Albertus is part of my fabric, it’s woven into me, and it’s an honor to give back to the College.”

“Our national program introduces students to financial executives, global markets, and real-time financial news. It promotes financial proficiency by connecting textbook theory to real word analysis while exposing students to an array of business careers. With over 120 colleges, universities, and high schools in the program, students are gaining a stronger understanding of financial matters and business acumen by participating in our Investing in Education program," said Joe Piombino, Director of Financial Education at Barron’s.

“We are so incredibly grateful to Rosemarie and Gloria for this game-changing gift to the College.  Not only will our students, alumni, faculty, and staff all benefit immensely from access to these materials, but our business school students will now undoubtedly have a distinctive advantage that will help them succeed both in college and in their careers after school,” shared William Aniskovich, Dean of the Tagliatela School of Business and Leadership at Albertus.
